A family-owned chain since 1960.

Kids Kare Schools is a chain of family-owned and operated child care centers that started with one center in 1960 serving 14 children. Today, we have 13 centers serving families across Fresno, Clovis, and Madera.

We provide year-round care for children ages 18 months through 12 years. Our services include a kindergarten-readiness preschool program with computers in the classroom, an after-school program with busing to and from local elementary schools, and a fun-filled summer program.

What ages do you serve?
We care for children ages 18 months through 12 years. That includes toddlers, preschool, kindergarten-readiness, and our Club Kids Kare program for elementary-age children through 6th grade.
What are your hours?
Most locations are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Hours vary slightly by center — check the Locations page for specifics on your local school.
Do you offer before- and after-school care?
Yes. Our Club Kids Kare program provides busing to and from local elementary schools, plus Homework Club, game rooms, computers, and play yards.
Is there a summer program?
Absolutely — our summer camp runs through June, July, and August with field trips, swim days, sports, arts and crafts, and weekly themes.
How do I enroll?
Start with a tour (use the Take A Tour page to pick a date), then we'll walk you through enrollment paperwork. There's a one-time registration fee and a refundable deposit.
Do you accept subsidies?
Yes. We accept CalWORKs, Alternative Payment Program, and several other state and federal subsidies. Ask your school director for details.
Are meals provided?
We follow the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided at no additional cost.
What's your staff-to-child ratio?
We meet or exceed California Title 22 requirements for every age group. Ratios are lower for our youngest learners and posted in each classroom.
