Valentines Day started with a class project that was an extension of our Character Unit on "Caring and Kindness". Each class wrote kind words on a Valentine and then made a Field-trip to the post office. With cookies and juice abundant on Friday, we celebrated with a party, and treats from our friends from home. Then on Monday, Feb 14th we opened our "Kind Words" Valentines that were received from the mail carrier. A full circle lesson on the route to happiness- "showing and receiving kindness!"
